Getting Domingo to Join
<!---descr="How to defeat the character or how to use the character if possible."--->Domingo starts off at Level 1 when he enters the Force. He lacks in physical attack but makes up for it in learning an array of offensive, supportive, and status affecting spells. He has high Health Points, high Defense, low Attack, high Magic Points, high Agility, and average Movement. Domingo has the ability to Float on the battlefield, allowing him to move over water terrain but will still be affected by Land Effects.

|-|Advantages=
  +
Domingo is easily one of the most overpowered characters in the game. He has high Health Points, high Defense, high MP, and high Agility. Domingo has the ability to float on the battlefield, making him a "flyer" along with Balbaroy, Amon, Kokichi and Bleu. Domingo is easily one of the strongest of the flyers, able to pick off enemies with lvl.4 Freeze and can be a replacement for Tao as a mage or an alternative to Anri. He, along with Anri, are the two most efficient spell casters due to the reliance of the Freeze spell and due to his overall higher MP, the better of the pair.

  +
Domingo is also suitable for speed-run players. Due to his lack of promotion, when he first joins he will gain levels for a while as if promoted and ends up arguably the strongest spell caster overall.
Domingo is a decent member of the force if he leveled up to learn all of his Freeze Spells. He also can provide support with his Boost spell to increase the attack of other members of the Force. It would be best to keep Domingo behind stronger Force members so that he can attack with his Freeze spell and Boost the attack of those in front of him. Domingo is able to also act as a shield for Healers. With his high defense, he can take a few physical hits and the Healers can heal him to keep the shield up.

  +
His spell Attack allows characters to get stronger and attack harder, particularly useful in the case of Bleu or Adam.
  +
|-|Disadvantages=
  +
Domingo lacks in physical attack and once his MP runs dry will be forced to act purely in a defensive role. Despite his massive stat boasts as he levels, he begins to get less growth by the time most other Force members are beginning to see their own growth stats.

  +
Also, due to his overall strength as a Force Member, he very easily will steal XP from other Force members if not used sparingly.

  +
He has Desoul, which is an instant kill spell, but due to how little it works players may never need to use it. The spell is best for speed running, as if the spell actually works it allows Domingo to help clear the battlefield quicker. But its unreliability makes it hard to pull off.
The main downside to Domingo is that all of his offensive capabilities rely on his MP. When his MP is depleted, his Attack power is not strong enough to take down enemies within a few attacks. So it would be wise to use him as Support, using Boost, then using his Freeze spells to damage, and when he runs out of MP, use him as a shield to weaker defense Force members.

He is the only character in the game to learn Freeze level 4, though he will only learn it through extensive grinding. Besides being the only floating Mage, he gets exceptionally good HP, Attack, and Defense by Mage standards, and his MP is decent as well. Altogether he is the game's most offensively capable magic user.

In Shining Force CD, Domingo stands out a bit less. Though his HP becomes even more impressive as he approaches level 20, May gets Defense comparable to his, while Natasha trumps him for MP. However, he is still the only Mage to float or learn Freeze level 4, and in this game he has time to learn the spell even without grinding. He must at least be considered if you like offensive spellcasters.

Domingo is a magical creature that is a hidden playable character in the games Shining Force: The Legacy of Great Intention, Shining Force: Resurrection of Dark Dragon, Shining Force Gaiden and Shining Force CD.

Background

Domingo is a magical creature hatched from an egg. Domingo joins Max's Force after hatching.

Personality

Domingo's personality is that of the stereotypical social and intellectual elite. He feels no need for friends, so he openly expresses disdain for his companions and flaunts his knowledge so much that he comes across as a know-it-all. He always maintains polite etiquette, but his highbrow personality tends to repel most people. Despite the fact that he seemingly would prefer to socialize in more intellectual circles, he sticks with Max's group out of loyalty to the one who hatched him.

The alternate universe version of Domingo from Resurrection of the Dark Dragon is almost the complete opposite. He can only say "Domingo!" and change colors to show his mood.

Strategy

Getting Domingo to Join

An egg is located in a suit of armor in Manarina's castle. When you search in Legacy of Great Intention it says that you are searching the monster. In order to hatch the egg, the egg must be taken to Pao and incubated. After the egg is hatched, Domingo will join the Force at Level 1.

In Shining Force Gaiden and Shining Force CD, search the bushes in Battle 12(the nighttime ambush battle) to find him.

Using Domingo

Shining Force I

Domingo is also suitable for speed-run players. Due to his lack of promotion, when he first joins he will gain levels for a while as if promoted and ends up arguably the strongest spell caster overall.

His spell Attack allows characters to get stronger and attack harder, particularly useful in the case of Bleu or Adam.

Domingo lacks in physical attack and once his MP runs dry will be forced to act purely in a defensive role. Despite his massive stat boasts as he levels, he begins to get less growth by the time most other Force members are beginning to see their own growth stats.

Also, due to his overall strength as a Force Member, he very easily will steal XP from other Force members if not used sparingly.

He has Desoul, which is an instant kill spell, but due to how little it works players may never need to use it. The spell is best for speed running, as if the spell actually works it allows Domingo to help clear the battlefield quicker. But its unreliability makes it hard to pull off.

Shining Force Gaiden

Domingo learns only offensive spells, including the first three levels of Blaze and Bolt.

Powers & Magic

Domingo can float over most terrain. He also learns the following spells:
