Pelle is a mercenary in the employ of Runefaust who quits his job out of disgust with Lord Kane. He joins the Shining Force as a playable Knight after the battle on the Pao Bridge.

Background[]

According to a Shining Force I world book, Pelle himself has no idea where he was born or who his parents are. He works as a free-spirited traveling mercenary, with no concern for his past.

Before The Battle of Pao Bridge begins, Pelle is arguing with a Silver Knight. Pelle, now disgusted, demands that he leave the evil Runefaust army and rejects any further payment. The Silver Knight declares Pelle a traitor and pushes him off a cliff. Pelle falls, but lands on a branch and eventually climbs back up shortly after the same Silver Knight is killed. Pelle then defects to The Shining Force, despite somehow not knowing who The Shining Force are.

Personality[]

Pelle is a mercenary, so he is an honorable, somewhat easygoing, and strong-willed knight.

Strategy[]

In The Legacy of Great Intention[]

Pelle joins the Shining Force as the strongest Knight/Paladin alongside Mae. He quickly storms through the following few battles able to deal heavier damage then your previous Knights that joined the Force. His main purpose is for Speed runs of the game and will effectively allow the player to walk through the following chapter quickly. He's even a really good replacement for Ken (if you go for level 10 promotions)

Pelle is designed to be the opposite of Arthur and he does not gain much stats when leveling up. Regardless, he can still out perform Arthur at lower levels, but is very dependent on when you promote him. If going for Level 10 promotions he ends up being a great Paladin alongside Mae, but if you promote him at Level 20, he will end up being the worst Paladin

In Resurrection of the Dark Dragon[]

Powers & Magic[]

Pelle can cast no spells and has no powers.
