Torasu is a playable Hobbit Priest from the games Shining Force: The Legacy of Great Intention and Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon.

Background

Alef and Torasu are friends. Max must rescue them, along with Adam, from the evil clutches of Chaos. After winning the battle, all three join your party.

Personality

Torasu is a kind and easy going old man. He teams up with Alef to go with Max to defeat Darksol.

Strategy

Torasu enters the Shining Force as the late-game healer. He learns Aura lvl.4 and is the only healer that has the Shield ability. with Aura lvl.4 one can potentially get away with not having to move him into the battle at all.

Players can also sometimes get away with having Torasu as the sole healer for any battle due to his healing prowess.

Detox can heal poisoned characters.

Shield allows to protect weak characters weaker then most other Force members including Flyers, the archers, mages and other healers.

He is the weakest of the priests and should be kept away from the frontlines.

Torasu's biggest weakest is his mana cost; for this reason alone, Torasu may never have to use Aura lvl.3 or lvl.4.

Also, as healers gain XP from healing other Force members, note that it is very easy to overuse Torasu and have him steal any potential XP from other healers.

In the last few battles, detox is almost a useless spell.

If the player has done their tactics in order to take advantage of tanks like Guntz and Adam, they may not need the Shield spell at all.

Powers & Magic

Torasu can use the following spells:

  • Unlike in the original version, levels do not stack; therefore, if promoted early, a spell learned at level 12 unpromoted must be learned at level 12 promoted.
  • — indicates the character has already learned the spell.
  • An empty field means the character cannot learn up to that spell's level
