Tyrin (Paipa, or Piper, in Japanese) is a male Elf Mage and a member of the Shining Force in the game Shining Force II: Ancient Sealing.
Background
Personality
Like all the four characters at Creed's Mansion, Tyrin is a bit arrogant.
Strategy
Tyrin is one of the 4 choice characters at Creed's mansion. After Karna, he is the second most useful character as he acts as the replacement for Kazin, who at this point in the game will begin to lose his overall potential as a spell caster. If not recruited, he can be recruited later if the player wishes, and out of the 4 options, is the second quickest to catch up to other Force members. Pre-promoted he starts off with the highest HP growth between him and Kazin, though it will wane over time. The rest of his stats are low but balanced with only a slight favoritism for speed.
Tyrin is the replacement mage for Anri and acts as the games mid-top tier mage, though ends up much more powerful overall since he learns lvl.4 on all his spells. Like Anri, he leans towards learning the Freeze spell and will level this up faster then Bolt.
He can be promoted to Wizard or Sorcerer and he is stronger then Kazin in either role. Either way his HP, defense and speed grow decently while his MP growth is high.
Due to the loss of his spells, which make him overall potentially more powerful, there is little reason to promote him to Sorcerer. This is because Sorcerer spells loose damage when striking multiple targets while Wizard spells do not.
His attack growth is low regardless of class and he suffers more then most other spellcasters such his MP run out.
