Wendy (ウェンディ, Wendi^?) is a playable elf mage character in the games Shining Force Gaiden and Shining Force CD.

Background

Wendy is the younger sister of Tao and Diane. When Ruce and Nick organize an expedition to rescue Guardiana's soldiers from Cypress, Wendy eagerly joins the group.

Personality

In appearance and behavior Wendy is a tomboy, eagerly approaching battle as an adventure rather than a necessity. Her sisters have given up on trying to correct her tomboyishness. Yet she vehemently objects to the "tomboy" label, which suggests that a strongly feminine core lies beneath her boyish exterior.

Strategy

Wendy may not learn Bolt like Yeesha and Domingo, but her stats are noticeably better than Yeesha's, most notably her MP and Defense(areas where she is superior to Domingo as well, by a smaller margin), and her spell selection is quite good. When it comes to Book 3 of Shining Force CD, she also has the edge over Natasha in Defense, and since you must use Wendy in Book 4, you may want to include her in your Book 3 party in any case.

Her one major downfall is that she doesn't learn a level 4 spell until level 20 promoted, but this problem is shared by all the Shining Force CD mages. If you feel you can live without Freeze level 4 or Bolt, Wendy is unquestionably one of your best choices for mage.
